So, we bitched and moaned about the state of the music industry for some time. Melbourne's music scene is undoubtedly (in this journalist's very biased opinion) the most vibrant in Australia's but without a governing body to watch out for local musicians, venues, managers and other industry professionals. The state recently got its answer with
Music Victoria with journalist
Patrick Donovan at the helm, and Music Victoria is having its
Annual General Meeting on
Tuesday November 16 at 6.30pm.
The night will be especially important, with three members being elected to the Management Committee, dedicated to shaping Victoria's music scene for the better.
